Naturally Shiny & Strong Nails With The Top 3 Best Nail Moisturizers Of 2020

How To Have Gorgeously Healthy, Supple Nails

We all want our nails to look perfect, whether painted or not, and first impressions count, so it pays to take care of them, enabling them to look at their very best, always!

Make it part of your daily skincare routine to look after your nails.

Signs of Healthy Nails:

  • Nail plates are a pinkish-white color
  • Cuticles are smooth and intact
  • Nails and white tips are even lengths and feel strong
  • Prominent half-moon shaped white section (called the lunula) at nail base

Just like for our skin, moisturizing is crucial for nail health. While taking internal supplements such as hair and nail vitamins is important, equally you should remember to moisturize your hands and nails at least twice a day. If you do regular manicures, you should moisturize even more often!

Why is it so important? A moisturizer keeps nails flexible, reducing brittleness and the risk of painful splits. It also feeds the cuticle. This is important as this is the area the nail grows from, so right from the start, you new nail growth will be healthy. Even if you have poor nails, a regular daily treatment with a good quality moisturizer will improve their appearance dramatically.

For the last couple of months, I’ve been trying out different moisturizers and here are the results.

1) Leven Rose Jojoba Oil

What Makes It Great

This organic miracle oil does it all; from reducing stretch marks, to eczema, and even removing make up. Plus it works wonders on dry nails. It’s absorbed quickly, leaving no sticky residue, and starts working instantly. Grown right here in the US, the jojoba oil is cold pressed to preserve the nutrients, and comes with a glass dropper for hassle free application.

Where It Could Be Improved

Although on the carton it says it 100% jojoba oil, it also contains Vitamin E, coconut oil and rose essential oil. This isn’t a problem as far as I’m concerned, considering how effective this oil is.

9.7Expert Score
The Final Verdict

This oil starts making a positive, visible difference from day one, and brings many other benefits to your skincare routine.

2) Bee Natural Cuticle and Nail Oil

What Makes It Great

Made from natural oils, including tea tree, lavender, and lemon, enriched with added Vitamin E, this smells gorgeously fresh and summery. A little goes a very long way, so whilst the bottle is handy enough to pop in your make-up kit, it’ll last you for ages and is absorbed cleanly and quickly. With a dropper included, this is a great idea for a gift, too.

Where It Could Be Improved

I had a tiny split next to one of my nails when I started using this product, and it did sting as I applied it, but that soon faded.

The Final Verdict

This is great value for money, very effective and comes in a conveniently sized bottle. Love it!

3) Bliss of Greece Organic Nail Moisturizer

What Makes It Great

Almond, grapeseed and lavender essential oil combined with Vitamin E, make this a super effective nail moisturizing oil. I used it on my hair, and on a couple of old scars too, both improved in appearance as a result. It seemed like this oil increased the growth rate of my nails, and it definitely improved the health of them.

Where It Could Be Improved
The bottle comes with a spray applicator, which was great for applying it to my hair and body, but a little wasteful for my nails, so I used an unused nail varnish brush, which was just perfect.

9.5Expert Score
The Final Verdict

Crammed full of antioxidants, anti aging vitamins and other goodies, it’s simple, effective and budget friendly. Perfect!
