The Most Irresistible Nail Dipping Powders Put To The Test
A manicure that can last upwards of three weeks can sometimes seem like a beauty miracle, but if you’re fed up with chipped polish and don’t want to splash out on gels, there is a new manicure hack in town – dip powder nails!
This DIY wonder is somewhere between a regular manicure and a false nail. It’s created using an SNS nail kit or a special mixture of acrylic powders and liquids.
To seal in the polish you don’t need a UV nail light anymore, instead the color comes in the form of a powder. Between the base and top coats, you dip your nails into a little pot of powdered color. In a salon, however, don’t be surprised if the powder is painted on for the sake of hygiene.
Dipping your nails is a surprisingly satisfying thing to do, and this trend is set to last, just like your new dip powder nails!

What Makes It Great
With 8 vibrant colors, including glitters, to choose from, not too mention how many you can mix yourself, this kit from Cuccio is packed with ideas. The booklet that comes in the box is full of unusual designs, all of which can be recreated by dipping, although some may need a little experience. The price, for what’s included, is very budget friendly.
Where It Could Be Improved
It’s great the the pots are filled to the very top, however this does mean that you do get a little over spill when you dip.

3) Mia Secret Dipping Powder Kit
What Makes It Great
The reason this is my favorite out of all three, is the cute little pots. The colors are lovely, the powders odorless and non toxic, and the application process is simple. But the little pots just make me go a bit weak at the knees. It’s almost beside the point that these stayed chip-free for nearly four weeks, and each color has a beautiful water-like shimmer to it.
Where It Could Be Improved
One of the colors I received didn’t match those in the picture, however it’s still gorgeous and in no way was I disappointed.

4) PrettyDiva Chrome Powder Kit
What Makes It Great
This 7 jar set from Pretty Diva is full of possibilities – the range of colored effects you can create is huge, and all equally stunning. Depending on how light or dark your base coat is alters the way the colors shine. You can have an awesome ‘unicorn’ pearl-escent gleam, or a mirrored chrome that catches every glint of light. So easy to apply with the included brushes, quick drying, and once the top coat is added, incredibly durable. Mine stayed looking simply amazing for nearly three weeks!
Where It Could Be Improved
These powders don’t have the same effect when used with regular polish. They need a gel top and base coat to bring out their full gorgeousness.

This set could be improved with the addition of brushes – you can never have too many!
