Best Aqua Nails – Discover my Favorite Aqua Nail Polishes for 2020!

Aqua sits somewhere between blue and green; not blue enough for turquoise nor green enough for jade, aqua is sometimes called cyan. It’s the color of warm tropical oceans, meandered through by rainbow fish, while the sun glints on its surface.

Associated with healing, calmness and balance, aqua possesses the power to recharge you on those low days, encouraging clear thought and decision making. If an emergency occurs, surrounding yourself with the color aqua can allow you space to think, whilst  unobtrusively speeding up the common sense process.

As a nail polish, aqua can be a bold choice, especially a vibrant shade, whilst aqua in its pastel form is inherently pretty, demonstrating your unique character.

Here. then. are my top three aqua nail polishes.

 

1) ILNP Nail Polish – Float On 

What Makes it Great

This vividly vibrant aqua polish from ILNP is simply stunning. With an intense holographic sparkle, it offers layers of deep shine evoking childhood memories of staring into rock pools, marveling at their otherworldliness. Perfect for summer nights, it’s glamorously different, and gorgeously girly, and remained so for nearly two weeks.

Where it Could be Improved

Like many holographic polishes, the odor can be quite strong, however with an open window nearby, this isn’t a problem.

 

2) KBShimmer Nail Polish – Set In Ocean

What Makes it Great

KBShimmer’s Set In Ocean looks exactly like that – sparkling glitter floating in the aqua ocean. In a larger than average bottle, this vivid polish is one of the most glittery ones I’ve seen, and would look stunning for a day on the beach or an evening out. Being super durable, my nails looked great for nearly three weeks.

Where it Could be Improved

I had to apply several coats of Set in Ocean in order to achieve the rich, smooth surface I wanted.

 

3) OneDor Nail Polish – Celeste 

What Makes it Great

OneDor’s all-in-one polish requires no base coat and is super quick drying. Eye catchingly vibrant, this is girly and gorgeous all rolled into one. I received so many compliments whilst wearing this color on my nails, and when meeting a girlfriend for coffee, upon seeing some awesome aqua nails reflected in the mirror, I almost approached my own table to admire my own nails! I love this shade, and hated removing it after it developed a chip on day 17.

Where it Could be Improved

Although there is no base coat required, I did, however, need to apply three layers of polish to achieve a streak-free finish.
